If you take this route, the new ISP will inform Plusnet about the switch and take care of the entire process entailing the transfer of your connection line. You won’t even have to speak to Plusnet about the same as the new provider will handle everything.

If you plan to cancel your contract without switching or changing to any other ISP that doesn’t use Openreach telephone lines, the process is a little different. In this case, you will have to write to or call Plusnet, telling them about the cancellation.

You can write a letter to Plusnet telling them about your intentions of cancelling the contract. Mention your name, address where the service is situated, and telephone number along with your account details. Alternatively, you can call them on 0808-169-2448.

To make the process easy, Plusnet offers a cancellation form that has fields for required information. You can print the form. Once you have the printed form, all you need to do is fill and submit it.

Cancelling if you are in contract

You can cancel your Plusnet contract even if you are still in contract. The process for it will be the same as stated above. However, the only difference is that you will have to pay an early termination fee for every month remaining in your existing contract.

  • Subtract 1% for early payment receipt.
  • Multiply the result by the remaining months of your contract. The service will charge any part of the month in the minimum term on a pro-rata or daily basis.
